Tatreez embroidery has been passed down in Palestinian families for generations and our hand-embroidered products are not only stunning, they are also quite resilient. To give you an idea of how long it can last, you can find 100 year old vintage embroidery panels in the Old City of Jerusalem.
Caring for tatreez embroidery
Our tatreez embroidery is stitched with pearl cotton and metallic threads on cotton and cotton blend fabrics. We recommend spot cleaning the embroidery with a solution of water and distilled vinegar OR mild detergent, using a damp cloth with cold water. You may gently rub the embroidery to remove dirt or stains.
All of our fabric-based products are made with cotton and cotton-blend fabrics and are therefore machine washable on delicate cycle. Lay flat to dry.
You can care for our leather products the same way you would care for any other leather products. You may clean with a water-based leather cleaner and moisturizer. Use a protective spray to protect the leather surface.
