Reflecting on 2025: A Year of Craft, Care, and Collective Purpose

At the heart of Darzah is our community of Palestinian women artisans. In 2025, we placed renewed focus on skill development and creative growth, expanding the ways Tatreez could live in the modern world while remaining rooted in tradition.

Our artisans embroidered Tatreez across a wider range of items from footwear and bags to home textiles, pouches, and accessories mastering new techniques, learning new stitches, and experimenting with motifs in contemporary forms. Each new product reflected not just craftsmanship, but confidence, the result of patience, practice, and pride in their art.

Alongside skill-building, we remained deeply committed to artisan wellbeing. Flexible working conditions, home-based embroidery where needed, and community-centered support ensured that our artisans could care for their families while continuing their craft with dignity.

Giving Beyond Ourselves: Community & Humanitarian Support

As a fair trade, nonprofit organization, giving back is not an initiative it is a responsibility. In 2025, Darzah was honored to contribute to multiple humanitarian and grassroots efforts supporting Palestinians on the ground and in the diaspora.

Through product sales, collaborations, and community-driven campaigns, we donated to and supported, to name a few: 

• PCRF (Palestine Children’s Relief Fund)

• Gaza Aid Collective

• UK Charity Dinner

• Heal Palestine

• HEAL Palestine – Raleigh Chapter

• Alana, an Irish cook based in London, whose work uplifts Palestinian food heritage and relief efforts
  
  

Each contribution was made with care, transparency, and trust knowing that collective action, even in small measures, creates real impact.

A Global Community of Solidarity

2025 also deepened our connection with a global network of Palestinian supporters, creatives, educators, chefs, activists, and customers who believe in ethical fashion and cultural preservation. From pop-ups and collaborations to shared storytelling across continents, Darzah became part of conversations far beyond borders.

Together, we showed that Tatreez is not just embroidery it is resistance, memory, and continuity.
